Some recent additions to the Library's collection


Bulletproof Feathers: How Science Uses Nature's Secrets to Design Cutting-Edge Technology    Design inspiration from Nature (the stuff of science fiction) :  "Bulletproof feathers" edited by Robert Allen provides insight into the growing field of biomimetics 

"Canis africanis : a dog history of Southern Africa" - an edited collection of 12 essays addressing the presence of Canis Africanus in Southern Africa from precolonial times to the present.
      In "Living in a dangerous climate" Renée Hetherington uses evidence from Anthropology, Earth Science and Biology to show how homo sapiens has had to, and will have to, adapt to changing conditions.
