When is/was a scientist a scientist? Interesting reflection on the history of this word

Melissa Baldwin (an historian interested in the development of peer review, journals, & scientific correspondence, currently at Harvard University) reflects on the history of the word "scientist", first coined in 1833 but only accepted 100 years later.
